Abdon flareRCD Mallorca’s stunning 3-0 victory at Son Moix on Sunday saw ecstatic scenes as the team were promoted back to La Liga after an absence of 6 seasons. The jubilant fans inside Son Moix and those many thousands who attended the victory parade have had their minds firmly on the remarkable events of the previous 72 hours. Whilst the players strained every sinew of their being to achieve the impossible, Vicente Moreno and his technical team know that now the hard work begins.

RCD Mallorca face their ultimate and biggest challenge of the season tomorrow evening in the do or die play off final second leg against Deportivo La Coruña. The Vermillion face an uphill battle having lost the first leg by 2 goals to 0 after playing more than 45 minutes of the game with 10 men. Marc Pedraza saw red after a tackle that resulted in Alex Bergantinos sustaining a horrific facial injury that saw him hospitalised overnight.
